1. Who We Are
PingNG is a network monitoring platform operated by Maiko BOSSUYT, based in France. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and all applicable EU data protection laws.

2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide our service:
- Account data: Email address and display name (provided during registration).
- Monitoring data: Network metrics (latency, packet loss, jitter, HTTP response times, DNS lookups, traceroute paths) collected by your configured monitoring agents.
- Configuration data: Targets, alert rules, notification channels, and agent configurations you create.
- Usage data: Internal platform usage metrics for capacity planning. We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking tools.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the PingNG monitoring service.
- To send alert notifications via your configured channels (email, webhook, Slack, Discord).
- To process billing and subscriptions via LemonSqueezy.
- To send transactional emails (account verification, billing receipts).
We never sell, share, or trade your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Processing & Sub-processors
All infrastructure is hosted within the European Union on OVHCloud (France). We use the following sub-processors:
- OVHCloud (France): Infrastructure hosting — servers, storage, networking.
- LemonSqueezy (Merchant of Record): Payment processing, subscription billing, VAT handling, and invoicing.
We do not use any US-based cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) for storing or processing your data.
5. Data Retention
Monitoring data retention depends on your subscription plan:
- Free: 7 days
- Pro: 90 days
- Business: 1 year
- Enterprise: 2 years
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all data is permanently erased within 30 days (grace period for cancellation).
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
- Right of access: You can view all your data in your account dashboard.
- Right to portability: You can export all your data as JSON from Settings > Data Export.
- Right to rectification: You can update your account information at any time.
- Right to erasure: You can request account deletion from Settings. All data will be permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period.
- Right to restriction: Contact us to restrict processing of your data.
- Right to object: Contact us to object to specific data processing.
To exercise any of these rights, use the self-service tools in your account settings or contact us at privacy@pingng.eu.
7. Cookies
PingNG uses only strictly necessary technical cookies for authentication (JWT session token). We do not use any tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required under GDPR for strictly necessary cookies.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, rate limiting on authentication endpoints, webhook signature verification, and multi-tenant data isolation at both database and metrics storage levels.
9. Data Processing Agreement (DPA)
Business and Enterprise customers can request a signed Data Processing Agreement. Contact us at dpa@pingng.eu.
10. Changes to This Policy
We will notify registered users via email of any material changes to this privacy policy. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly.
